I also use Moon+ Reader via OPDS on Kavita.
Kavita also supports OPDS-PS which syncs book progress back to the server so that you can pick it up on a different device right where you left off.
Moon+ doesn’t support this, however it can sync book progress to google drive (maybe dropbox too!?) So that you can pick up where you left off on a different device, so long as you use Moon+ on that device as well.

Question have been asked quite a lot in the various communities of tools supporting Opds-PS, but no, there is no Android client i know off supporting it (and it’s because roughly :
- most android opds clients sux donkey’s balls, don’t even have proper opds implementation in the first place, adding opds-PS support is something they won’t even consider)
- opds-PS isn’t really a “standard”. From what i gathered it won’t be made part of the opds standard because the people behind it consider that it’s outside the purview of the standard, and nobody else intends to make it a standard either. It’s a bit of a Catch22 where nobody wants to make it a standard because it’s not popular/useful enough, and the other side won’t implement it because it’s not a standard and not popular/useful enough.. :/)

**Tachiyomi with the Kavita plugin **works for me and syncs the reading status with Kavita. I use it mainly for mangas and dislike reading books in Tachiyomi, compared to Lithium (my epub reader) but maybe you can fare better with it. Lithium only works locally.
